“Craft Fest 74”, an exciting new Art and Craft Fair will be hosted at Wallis’ Bar, Midleton on Saturday 2nd of November 2019. As Autumn draws to a close and the short days of Samhain take hold this Art and Craft Fair will offer, for purchase, the beautiful work of local art and craft specialists. Local Saturday shoppers and visitors to the town will discover in “Craft Fest 74” a pre-Christmas opportunity to purchase locally produced handmade gifts of high quality and wide appeal.
The Art and Craft Fair will be curated by Barbara Hall of Barbara Hall Creations and Aoife Brocky, well known gallery owner and promoter of the arts in East Cork and West Waterford. The fair has been developed in association with Seamus Cunningham and the team at Wallis’Bar. “Craft Fest 74” will open at 11.00am on Saturday 2nd of November and will run through the day until 4.00pm offering a wide range of handcrafted gifts from the whimsical to the practical to the simply stunning.
A programme of interesting Art and Craft demonstrations planned for the day will offer visitors an opportunity to engage first hand with the talents of artists working in diverse genres. The fair will offer, for sale, home baking, plants and floral arrangements presented by St. John the Baptist community. Fun family friendly activities including face painting and balloon sculpture will offer something for all ages and tastes.
This exciting new fair will bring a taste of the enchantment of the Christmas season to Midleton. “Craft Fest 74” will also support the Friends of Midleton Hospital group through the donation of stall rental fees and a special bumper raffle that will run on the day. “Craft Fest 74” promises to add another interesting and exciting occasion to the creative and commercial life of East Cork – a date to save, a space to watch.
